New Bike Maintenance

Hey everyone, I'm getting my new FZ6R on Tuesday and was wondering about what maintenance I should keep in mind for a new bike.

It's a 2009 with 0 miles on it. Just wondering how long I should baby it to let the drive train break in, and how often and what kind of preventative maintenance I should do? This will be my first street bike.

It comes with an owners manual. Just don't maintain the same rpm too long. Run it up and down through the gears. Use the search feature here. Lots of great info.

Follow your service manuel is key here. Make sure when you are braking her in, that you use all your gears. Make sure you keep that chain nice, neat and tidy, in Scotland here, if you don't, it'll rust out on you. Don't go ott with it on maintenance, just keep it tidy and it'll look after you.
