Okay I really dunno what to do anymore guys. Ive gotten so many reccomendations its unreal. Some people are saying only go with a 500w amp for a 500w sub. Some say to go waaaay past it like 1200w or more depending on the ohms.

Have you considered a cheap kit to use temporarily?
Instead of blowing $500 on something you might not prefer. You could buy a cheap kit to learn with and use while you save for what you want in the future.
Would this be correct? This would be making around 600watts to the sub, but guessing that they are overestimating, im gunna guess around 450watts actually going into the subwoofer. Would this be a safe load, and proper numbers and everything?
I saw kits from a few more reputable brands on amazon, MTX, Pyle etc for around $200.They had a few kits with a single sub if your still worried about trunk room.

All of that stuff is higher quality than what I originally posted
The resistance doesn't stay the same when wired in parallel, it gets cut down lower. A dual 4 is two 4 ohm coils so you're talking about doubling that in series to 8, or halving it in parallel down to 2. If it was three subs you'd have 1/3 of the resistance as the final load, in parallel so 1.3333 ohms.
So correct me if I am wrong, but it would be safe to run this amp with 750watts @ 2ohms x1, just keeping the gain down, that way the amp isnt maxed out or hitting near its limit? http://www.crutchfield.com/p_109GTO751E/JBL-GTO-751EZ.html
