I've got one of those can openers that removes the top of a can without sharp edges. I keep a tin can top with me, for when it's hot. When the sucker gets too dirty or bent, I toss it in the recycle bin and get another. It's basically free and it's worked pretty good for me.

Glad your co-worker saw it in time.

Thankfully there is a dedicated motorcycle parking at work, and that area is a concrete slab.

Really would be nice to get one of those pucks though for the random occasions we have to park on less than desirable surfaces.
