Marthys Exhaust - Slip Ons

Hi,

So I have my Marthy Exhaust coming and I know that it comes with the Dan Moto slip on. I am of course going to ride it with the Dan Moto, but I was curious to know what other slip ons you can put on this particular mod, if any. I assume you can put a few different ones on it, but I'm talking about ones that are smaller like the Dan Moto or Viper can.

Just needs to be 12" or under and have 2" inlet. You can cut cans to size. GYTR makes one and scorpion I believe makes one.

I've been picking Marthy's brain as well. I have a Viper, but was wanting to see my other options as well.

Nope, I know someone on here has a Yoshimura (cut to size). Problem is that since our bike isn't slip-on ready you can't simply plug fz6r in and find what fits. Marthy said most slip-ons made for 600's use 2" inlet. Just need to cut to length or get lucky and find one the right size.

Yea the Yoshi I used was off of a Katana and had a 2.25" inlet.As long as the inlet is bigger then your outlet you can make it work somehow.I was ebay shopping for a upgrade recently, right now ebay has a few stores with close fitting cans in bulk.The Delkevics are still on there, a shop is turning Jardines into Shorty's (I almost bought one of the Jardines but I was worried about the diameter of the body) I ended up going with one of the Volcano Flame Outlets because I knew the body would be compact enough to hide under the engine after adding a custom reducer.It fits and looks waaayyy nicer then the Yoshi I cut down.Its nearly as loud but has a deeper growl and sounds beautiful.



I'll get pictures up of it mounted this week, with it turned 90* the outlet points directly towards the rear and it looks like a MotoGP style straight pipe sticking out behind the peg.I removed my headers to clean them and ran into that stud issue sealing off the last leak.It was actually a flange issue to be honest, the flanges on those old r6 headers weren't in very good shape and I didn't notice it until I had problems with one of my studs.I found new headers with pictures of healthy flanges, ordered new studs, crush gaskets and nuts.So it should be a smooth install once my goods arrive.

Dekevic's are really nice quality slip-on for the price. I did a test here and cut one short (pain). Look really good!

Thanks guys,

Marthy I just got the Exhaust today and hooked it all up and wanted to let you know that I am highly impressed. The difference in sound from the stock to the Marthy exhaust is ridiculous. Makes me sad thinking that I have at least two months left to wait before I can really ride up here. Did have one question. Would you recommend putting a coat of high heat paint on the pipes to prevent rust.

Just get a can of chrome cleaner and wipe them down when you wash your bike so it doesn't build up.Jsp has a thread on here somewhere about cleaning the headers.I've been using the Eagle1 sold at Autozone.

You could coat them. But since uts all covered... I won't bother. I painted mine black and the blast from the front wheel peel the paint off.

Got the calendar today, was nice to see few Marthy exhaust in there.
