Hey folks! I'm reaching out because my bike is idling low, at about 1k instead of the 1250-1300. The engine doesn't seem to like idling that low, it sounds off I am changing the spark plugs and air filter this week, an am hoping that will fix the issue. However, if it doesn't where should I go from there? Is there an idle adjustment I can perform?

Any and all help is welcome!

There is an idle adjustment screw right inside the frame on the left side of the bike.
It is addressed on page 3-8 of the factory service manual. Make that adjustment when she's at full operating temp.

You may also want to sync your throttle bodies.

I appreciate the guidance. I will update the post after I get the work done to it!

How much would the throttle body sync cost?
4 carb syncronizers run from about $45 up,, you probably own a screw driver.. There are on line videos that demonstrate 'how to do it', or simply phone your local shop for an 'estimate'. I would first try warming up the bike and adjusting the throttle adjustment screw (Phillips, I believe). Best of luck!

Just to update, managed to get the air filter changed, but was unable to get the hose clamps off under the airbox to remove the dust cover. The hose clips access points run horizontal with the cover, and I am unable to get my pliers on it well enough to remove them. I'd love some guidance, or if anyone knows of a special tool, I would appreciate it!

I have completed a coolant flush, the above air filter, and some other work that does not affect the engine. No change after any of it.

Get a good grip on the air box and sort of rock it back and forth toward the front and rear of the bike (not sideways)... it'll pop off the throttle bodies eventually with a "rocking/wiggling" motion.

My apologies, I wasn't clear. I was able to get the airbox off, without any issue. Under that, there are two more tubes that lie between the dust cover and the airbox. I referenced your videos (which are awesome!) and for whatever reason my bike has that and yours does not. I have the model year 2012.

Ohhh you must be referring to the AIS system... two little hoses that run to the valve cover? I deleted that system when I went with exhaust and fuel controller.
