My bike came with an 8” Delkevic exhaust and I notice that it is ignorantly loud and raspy at idle but once you give it revs or ride it, as soon as you climb above 4k rpm it starts to smooth out and loses that harsh raspiness that it has at low rpms and sounds nice.
I’m wondering if this has been others experience with this exhaust or is it just the way my bike is setup with stock air filter and tuning? I have a Power Commander and I am running the Hindle map that HCU hooked me up with. Also have a K&N air filter on order.
Does your Delkevic do the same thing or do I need to change something?
