Just waiting for the stock to come in so I can finish the lower build. Then I'll be ordering the upper within the next week or so.
Looks allot like mine. I like the look of the enhanced trigger guard. What upper are you going with? Barrel length?

I plan on having two uppers. I'll probably go with a 5.56 PSA 16" middy and then a designated CMMG .22lr upper for plinking and small game hunting.
Here is how it sits now. That's the Magpul CTR stock. The second pic is the completed lower sitting on my custom built display/cleaning stand with raised dividers to keep small parts separate and from rolling away.

Looks nice! I put mine together on the kitchen table. I would put up a picture, buuuut I live in California so probably not a good idea. So with the .22 upper you will need to change the recoil spring and what else? I use my Ruger 10/22 for the small stuff. It was the first gun I ever built up. I think the Ruger 10/22 is one of the all time best guns ever made. Everyone should own one!

Yeah, the uber gun-friendly state of Cali.
As far as my understanding goes, I won't have to change the recoil spring. It's really as simple as just swapping the uppers. Of course, each will have their own BCG and mags. That should be the only differences. I have a Ruger M77 in .280 that I have taken a couple deer with. I also shot the eyeball out of a squirrel with it! That was my proudest kill.
BOOM headshot! Preserved all the rest of the body. I'm mostly a shotgun guy, so building the AR with a couple uppers was my way of expanding my armory.I'm so jealous. I went out with my cousin and some of his friends from work. They all had AR's, a couple of m4's I think. Some serious hardware.
Personally my father in law who gave me his .38 carry weopon to keep for home defense is going to need it back so I'm really going to have to save up some cash for something. Probably going to pick up a Glock 19. Want something that I can go have fun at the range without spending a fortune on ammo but still be good for home protection. Plus if I do decide to get carry permit like my father in law suggested its small enough to conceal.

I have a Glock 26, it's the subcompact (baby Glock), your fingers fall off the grips but if you get the grip extenders it fits perfect and holds like 3 more rounds. Really like my 26.

+1 I have a G26 and LOVE it too. Great little gun. Conceals very well. I have a High Noon Bare Asset IWB holster that works great with it. Agree about the extended base plate as well. I have to use it or it sucks shooting it. Pinky cannot stay on the grip.
That's why I was thinking the g19 would be better. Full size grip but still considerably smaller than the g17.
Looks like it has a longer barrell too so it may be more accurate at distance. Love my 26 though.

Living in the wonderful state of Arizona, OC is no problem here, so I OC or CC my S&W M&P 9mm full-size. Love the way it fits into the hand and fires. Tried the Glock and Springfield alongside it before I bought it. No regrets. Nice to see something quality out of America for a change.
