Hi all,

I have just bought myself my first FZ6R a couple days ago. I’ve noticed that the frame along the sides of the tank get very hot while riding (especially on the right side). Enough so that that it has scorched my knee a few times while riding in shorts. I’m wondering if it’s fairly normal for the frame to get hot here on the FZ6R or if I should be looking into possible issues causing the frame to get so hot. The bike itself doesn’t overheat and rarely goes past 100° C.

Thanks for the help,

Dare

Mine is the same way when I’ve taken it for a test ride down my neighborhood road in shorts…I wouldn’t worry about it unless your temp gauge goes above 220F… putting on some pants solves the issue for me.
