I still have the 24" and 26". I might stick with the 26" for a little, it's a very nice set up for colder days. Make an offer on the 24"... that's the one on the previous post (tint one)

Here's the lastest... Total 22"/26"windscreen. Stillneed to polish it a bit, kind of still at the testing state. But so far so good. I went with 1/8" instead of 3/16" Much better to work with. The only thing, at 22" flexing wasn't a issue. Now with the extension it's a different story. Not that bad but enough to bother me. Still working at it... Worst case senario I might need to put some brace on the backside...

This is my PCV Map switch. Map1= Advgear RevB, Map2= Touring RevC :thumbup:
I'm a little confused on the air management stuff with the FZ6R. I think there is an air bubble created with the stock windshield at 50 mph our so. I think the forward lean of a sportbike has me a little confused though.
After riding for an hour though, I'm tired. Like I've been getting hit with wind for an hour.
I've been consider a Laminar Lip thingy but I'm not sure what I want or need to better handle wind issues.
So, Marthy, I'm curious what your final impressions are on the width and height of various screens and what kind of wind protection they provide. I get the sense that 26 inches is designed to eliminate most windblast over the entire body, to include the helmet. Could you recommend what height I might be looking for to block all the wind on the chest area for someone 5' 10" ish?

Think maybe I need a sticker like that on my throttle with a arrow , mid way for "touring" and full throttle for "sport" , cheaper than PCV .

The thing with the stock windscreen it accelerate the wind right under your helmet. You have 2 choices. Some of us cut off the stock windscreen 2'' or 3" so the air is more laminar. Or you go big like I did. 26" is safe. We are about the same height...

When I ride I can take my left hand (unless you are experienced ride please do not attempt this) and move it up and down in front of my chest and can feel the air blast coming over the shield , it hits me right in the chest with stock one .
Have you ever taken a string and attached it to the center/side of the shield to see air flow ?

I bought a crampbuster last week and I love it. Slides right over the throttle and activates when you push down. No need to grab hard so no death grip and no numb fingers! (my whole hand would go numb after about 20mins lol). Picked mine up from my local dealer for about 10 bucks! I still am looking to get a set if the vibranator bar ends (Vibranator.com) to help reduce the hand numbing phenomenon. I also realized that a combination of gel grips, and different gloves makes a difference in reducing it.
There are so many things that can cause numb fingers and hands. Could be vibrations, death grip, worn out grips, glove fit (seems, folds in the material, things like that sitting in the wrong spots on your hands can actually cause cuts in your circulation) I had a pair of glove liners that had an odd seem that ran under the thumb and I started having numb thumb from it.
I just want to say that my numb finger deal has been fix long time ago... hold post coming back from the grave... LOL
Well, this one is for my buddy Don. (Special request) I was suppose to get few measurements... I end up drawing the whole thing. Hope it help some of you too. After some practice with some Lowe's plaxiglass if you feel confident... eplastic.com has a endless selection of lexan. I will suggest you to get a sheet of 24" X 48" just in case... snap! 1/8" thick is good enough for a 22" I tried 3/16", it can be done but it's very hard to get enough heat to bend it.
Now if you look at the second pics... you will need at least 2 3/8" of bow (bubble) to have enough strain to it to avoid flexing. Just to give you an idea, on my double stacker 26", I have 3" and it's not too much.

One other thing Marthy mentioned while we were chatting... make a cardboard template, then use a jigsaw to cut the plastic!

Here we go... My Lowe's brake! Go in the wood section at Lowe's + 2 hinches, few screws... 24" wide willbe enough. Then make a markon the side at 20 deg or so. You will need that to do the 2 bend (where the screen sit on the fairing, then mark and drill the holes for the 6 screws)
