My Aunt and her family recently vacationed in Mexico and she took a few photos of her son playing in the ocean. Her sister in-law commented and asked what in the heck was in the background and nobody could make heads or tails of it. Check this out, it's pretty odd. Either something really creepy or some person decided to photo bomb them in deep sea diving gear.

Maybe its a special forces soldier and he's just done a High altitude Low opening insertion, but failed the mission and aborted when he was spotted. I saw that on a movie once.

Or maybe he's just got back from Afghanistan and is waiting to surprise his kids and mistook your niece for his kid.

Or maybe he's loading up his hand built sub for nefarious reasons.

I told them it looks like a fat version of Gort from the Day the Earth Stood Still. It is a very odd thing though.... that is for sure

Its a major bummer we are never going to figure out what that is. Sure does look like a motorcycle helmet, maybe someone on an fz6r just ran off a nearby cliff?

Looks like one those Marine "floats" that help boats find the shore? But usually they're orange. I don't know.
