Hi, I'm new to the forum. Im currently using the Yamaha double bubble screen, its much better than the stock screen but still not as good as id hoped and its dark black so if i want to mount a camera on the tank it wont see anything. I like the decals on it but am still looking and thinking of trying the Givi touring screen.
Are you sure that's the Double Bubble? From the picture it doesn't appear to be one. Maybe its just the glare of the picture but that just looks like a black standard windscreen.

Yamaha makes two, ones all black, the other is only 1/3 black and 2/3 clear.I believe the clear one has a slightly more aggressive bubble and works a little better than the all black. You can tell that the clear version is about 1" taller Yamaha FZ6R Accessories, Yamaha FZ6R Windshields

I was gonna say, cause I have the clear one right now and it looks much more aggressive than the one pictured. Maybe that's why it looks different to me

I just saw that a few weeks ago about GIVI making a Touring FZ6R screen also.. Forget where I saw it though. If you do go that route post a review please.. Several here have the Puig Touring, I think someone might have the ZG Touring, but believe you would be the first with the Givi.
I have the DB Yamaha Clear and like it, but wont deny that a little more wind protection would be nice. I have become very tight still catching up after missing quite a bit of work due to family illness, but once get caught up and ahead again, I need to make my remaining shopping list. Might only be one more thing this year though as already adding the tail rack, V46, Rizoma Right/Left Engine guards this year.. Wife wants a budget and I think I might need to be smart and agree!
LOL! That started happening here already.. Last thing she allowed me to get was the Rizoma goodies. I think that was only because when I went down it damaged my crankcase cover and I explained that it is protection for the bike.
I think I really need to set a budget.. There are soo many bike things I want for this bike and getting a second bike, but yet need stuff done at home like MudJacking 3 patio slabs, sealcoating driveway and then I want a shed eventually also and fence... I think I need to figure out a fair and reasonable amount allowed to spend every year and be strict. Like direct deposit to a account, only when $ accumulated, then I can buy the goodie I want at that time...

I'm shackle free, maxxing out the little room left on one of my credit cards as we speak lol.
I need most of it though, rear sprocket, water bladder to freeze for a little cooling in my jacket (thanks for the idea Lee) chain oil, Juice Box mount, etc

Sounds about right for me as well. Unfortunately, the girlfriends driveway is past the point of just getting it seal coated, that we have to get it completely done. Gotta clean out the shed and possibly repair the sides. And we just started making the backyard a more enjoyable place, (tiki torches, outside furniture, radio, things like that) Money goes way to fast....
+a Million on that!!! Take care of your dog/cat vet bills, your bills and things that pop up and all of a sudden you find you are at the max on your CC and need to pay that sucker off! No longer CC bill free!
Thought I'd toss in a review of the puig racing windscreen. Really like it. It's only a bit longer than the stock screen, a little over a half inch or so. But it's more curved shaped seem to help direct the wind that was hitting me in the face up around the top of the helmet. For reference I'm 5'10". Very satisfied.
Don't know if anybody has this one as it kind of flies under the radar as an XJ6 screen, but I just installed for my wife a Powerbronze double bubble. I literally haven't even ridden at all with it yet, but it looks taller than stock.
I have the Puig Touring screen and really liked it compared to the OEM screen. The only thing I didn't like was that it was so tall. But the OEM screen gave me so much turbulence that I couldn't stand it.
Since I was going to throw the OEM screen away anyway, I decided to experiment with it. So I painted my OEM screen black. One day I decided to throw it back on and make due until I could buy a better one because I like the look of the blacked out screen. But... I suddenly didn't have the turbulence problem that I had before. The reason? I got a new helmet. I upgraded my Bilt helmet for the Seven Zero Seven Vendetta 3 helmet and viola! Turbulence is gone, even at 100+ (cough cough) mph.
So now my touring screen is sitting wrapped up in my garage and I'm sporting the OEM screen again. I'm very happy. Who would have known I would fix my turbulence problem with a helmet switch?
