Allen wrench size for stock bar end weights

Hi, everyone.

New bike. Great forum. First thread.

I like the stock position but the bar is slightly bent on the bike I just bought and I have a replacement on the way. (Scratches on the side...it had been laid over while parked or shipping, and I knew it, so not fair to go back to the seller.)

I've found lots of handlebar replacement threads including detailed instructions on how to thread an aftermarket bar for the stock weights.

The thing I can't find is the the size of the Allen wrench to remove the stock bar end weights. It's bigger than anything I own and I'm going to have to buy one.

You may want to check the owners toolkit before you go out and buy one. There are a number of allens in there, don't remember if that's one but worth a shot.

If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, buy the metric T-handle set. It covers the range on the bike. If you're using a torque wrench, I've found the Craftsman metric hex socket set covers the range as well.
