I had the same esperience with the R6. I'm a big guy, and it was just too cramped, but the R1 was the most comfortable sport bike I've ever tried. Still hoping to get one in the future!
Did you have carpal tunnel before joining the forum? Take your time on rehab so everything has the time it needs to recover. Your ride will be patiently waiting for your return!
Hey, if it runs and is otherwise safe (required to be legal parts), keep it, ride it,
and enjoy not having to worry about it getting dinged, dropped, or demolished. For at least the present you can think of her as your long, lost love, and spend some time bringing her back to life. You may...
Keep it. It's not hard to "store" for a year, you'll be able to think about riding it while you're in Korea, and it'll be easy to lube, gas and ride once you get home.
You may also want to check the thread "What Did You Pay For Your FZ6R?" $8200 OTD is high, no matter where you live. +1 What's already been said about the two bikes. Throttle response on the 6R is more consistent, and therefore predictable. That means you'll be able to use more of the 6R...

Whoa, where have you been? Complaints about rising tuition and fees are in the news every year, even to the point of some colleges and universities rescinding increases. Farm teams for liberal politics and votes? Where do you think all the people who comprise big business, Wall Street got...
Good luck with Euro sizing! +1 for a set of gaiters that can be worn over standard (non-waterproof) boots. I have an old pair from HD, and a new pair from TourMaster. They'll keep you dry, and your boots clean.
Decided to change insurance companies a couple of months ago because of a premium increase (no accidents, no tickets, no claims, no kidding). Called the Good Hands people and was told I could get the same coverage for about 60% of what I had been paying. Good deal. Here's my money. Policy...
Congrats on completing the course, and major points for doing it on your 6R!
Great photos. Get the launch down, and you'll embarrass your truck drivin' friend!
