I was wanted to try and find out where my inspection sticker is supposed to be located. I want a fender eliminator kit but with the inspection sticker hanging down below my license plate it might catch the tire with a FE kit. I live in TX, if that makes a difference, thanks in advance.
Well I have had the bike for a week now and have only put 300 miles on it cuz of work but haven't had any problems so I'm happy now. They only offered a tank protector and frame sliders but I didnt really I just glad its settled and I have a bike again.
Can't really add anything that hasn't been said, but being a new rider I would avoid any wet areas at freezing temps or otherwise as long as your bundled and so restricted by your gear that you cant move freely, your good to go.
Ya I understand why they tried that and I agree that they need to replace it. Its is supposed to be in the 60s or better for the next week and I want to be riding my bike. On monday morning I will call them and see where there at and if its not we have your new bike for you, then I guess I will...
They wouldn't let me test drive it at the time. It had 3.3 miles on when I bought it. but after they investigated it when I brought it back they discovered that the master cyclinder was ceasing like I told them. they flushed the brakes and still locked up. yamaha was supposed to call me...
I agree with bigguybbr that it may be a comfort thing. But there is so much gear out there anymore that is designed for different riding conditions that its not really a good excuse, I wont ride without at least gloves, jeans, helmet and my textile jacket myself. the jacket does get hot even...
Well in my experience with anything I have owned I always want to change and upgrade whatever I have be it a bike, car or electronics. but thats me. I haven't personally ridden the ktm 690 but have ridden other supermotos. They are alot of fun but you cant or at least I wouldn't tour or ride...
Ya, Im hoping that it wont go that far I love yamaha and their products I figure I will give them til the end of the week if they cant get it figured out by then I will have to do something else. I father is a yamaha dealer on the marine side so he knows alot of people to whom he will make phone...
Man it looks good so far, it should look good when all said and done. Hopefully you will have it done soon and u can post pics. looks awesome so far.
They are still doing their investigation at this point, dang I want my bike back. I just want this figured out asap, missing crucial riding time, paying payments and insurance on something I cant even see cuz its at the dealership is BS:mad:
Well i dropped off the bike and a yamaha rep has called me to get some info and there going to do there investigation into what happened and call back in a few days. so we'll see what happens
Ya I don't see how they can't not fix or preferably replace it, but i will post pics I will try to post soon. i got take it to them either tomorrow or Friday. they said they'll inspect it and contact yamaha. i took a video showing how barely moves and photos of the damage and charred rotors.
front brake lock up
I bought my fz6r Saturday before last and i finally got a chance to take it on Sunday and got about half mile and front discs locked up with out me touching them and thru me and bike down trashing my brand new bike with 4 miles on it. I'm fine but I wanted to know if this...
