I keep a pair of clear safety glasses under my seat in case I’m out later then planed. That way I don’t have to risk having limited visibility at night from a tinted visor.

I took a 796 for a test ride last year when it first came out and it was awesome. As soon as my truck sells I will be putting that money towards a new 796 this spring.

Maine inspections are crazy. If you go by the book you pretty much have to remain stock. Last year they passed a law saying that you can’t use an aftermarket exhaust on any vehicle, car, truck, motorcycle. It’s funny because we get so many tourists from other states that don’t have this dumb law...

At the end of last season I needed new tires and I got some Metzelers but the Z6 which is more of a sport-touring tire. I only had a few hundred miles on them when I put the bike up for the winter but so far they seemed pretty good.

No, I'm down in Auburn. Thats a good idea to put them where the turn signals would be on the FE.

just dont hook up the blinkers to the intergraded tail light. Right now I have mine hooked up but i plan on running separate blinkers for the same reasons you stated.

My key chain has a small led light on it. It come in handy when trying to find the key hole at night
