Various parts questions

Hello all, I am new to owning a FZ6R and got one used. That being said, I need to find the ?grommet? for the ignition that goes in the upper triple tree clamp or do I need the whole clamp? I also do not know the specs for the handlebar and need one of those as well as mine is bent where the throttle is and is extremely uncomfortable on the wrist. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

For parts information, one of the best sources are the Yamaha parts lists and exploded diagrams that most of the major parts deals have online. You can look at parts / assemblies, and figure out the parts, part numbers, and search on line for them at the lowest prices. Search for genuine Yamaha parts, and most sites will have you enter the year, model of your bike and have the sub-assemblies broken out such as steering, wheels, etc. Best of luck with your new (to you) bike.

Has anyone ever replaced a timing/cam chain before. If so, what gaskets are needed to perform this procedure. Thx in advance

Rocker cover has to come off , need to move the throttle bodies aside to do that , plus the right side engine cover.

Guy's not sure, if it's appropriate to ask here or not, all the posts about side bags are too older.
I'm looking for side bags for my bike, have searched many brands, amazon and eBay.
Can someone recommend me the best? I need something light weight, spacious and should be in normal price range.

If you don't mind structured soft bags, take a look at the Nelson Rigg CL-890 Sport saddlebags.
I made a 1,300 mile roundtrip with a set of those along with a 30L Givi dry duffel bungeed to the tail and it performed nicely.

Thanks, that's a fine pair. How's the mounting? Do they vibrate, is the fitting well enough?
However, after searching and asking around, comparing different bags. I'm confused whether which one of the following will be best, in mounting and everything. Please let me know if you or anyone you know have any experience:

1. https://www.motorcycleid.com/ogio/stealth-saddlebags-mpn-110093-36.html?singleid=2860651413 ($189)
2. https://www.nelsonrigg.com/motorcycle-luggage/motorcycle-saddlebags/cl-890-mini-expandable-sport-motorcycle-saddlebags-detail ($159)
3. https://www.vikingbags.com/viking-extra-large-street-bike-saddlebags ($165)
The prices are reasonable it's almost gonna cost me $250 if I buy any one of them. Please advise!
The CL-890 bags connect via two wide velcro flaps. So, the tighter you pull and clasp them, the "straighter" and more evenly the bags mount. The more slack you allow, the more the bags will droop. What I really liked about these, is that when pulled nice and tight for a nice even mounting orientation, you can actually mount the pillion seat over the straps to where it looks like a factory installation.

Here's a walkaround video of the setup:

Thanks, Half-click up, IDK why mounting is so hard for me, it's looking so tricky in the video.
BTW, I've looked through the YouTube too, and found
and
videos. These are the reviews about the following bags:

Looks like they're pretty easy to setup, and costs me less dollars. Please have a look and LMK.
Hey that Viking setup looks pretty legit. In fact, it's VERY similar to the Nelson Rigg setup, especially by features and design. Might be worth a shot!

Hi, Guys!

I've got these Viking saddlebags (tried uploading some pictures but IDK it's giving error and error again). BTW, as I'm new to riding and all and don't know much about these products. I just wanna ask, I checked out there website while looking for tank bag, please suggest that which bag would be good fit for FZ6 2008.
Thanks.
I think I'd go with either the "AXE Medium" or the "Bonafide" because they're not too invasive. The FZ6 and FZ6R already have sort of bulbous fuel tanks, so anything bigger than the two I mentioned from Viking may just get in your way.

I run the Cortech Super 2.0 Low Profile magnetic tank bag, which can also unzip and expand "accordion" style for another like 20% in storage volume. Nifty thing for the price:
