Hard Bags?

Anybody mount some hard bags for saddlebags on their FZ6R? I don't like the look of a top case, but I want to get some saddle bags for longer trips.

I was specifically looking at the Givi bags, but I am not partial to any brand. Waterproof is a must as well.

Let me know if you guys have any experience with these.

Got the biggest Givi side bags... love them... a bit pricey, but they've held up well over the years.

in this pic I still had my soft tail bag, but haven't used it since selling those off (had the soft saddle bags as well), still like the tank bag for long trips to keep wallet, sunscreen, granola bars, etc. handy.

I got the bags and mounts here... though they now say call for availability...

I've been using a $40.00 Ebay large top case for over 3 years now, event close the garage door on it... still fine. LOL
Givi E21 are nice. Not too wide and open from the top. Don't put the top case off the equation, extremely useful on long trip. Can always remove it when in town.

Wify doesn't want to ride with any cases for now. Might end up selling the rack (custom) one of these days.

$500 for a plastic shell is criminal IMO. If these cost more than $20 to make i would be surprised.

Spotted this budget version at my local shopping centre today. Plenty of capacity but probably not good for the fuel economy.
