How much do you pay for Insurance?

Wow, there are some good insurance rates in the States. Insurance in Ontario is expensive (different rules apply though). I'm paying State Farm almost $900/year for full coverage. And that's a good rate for the Toronto area (cheaper than my car anyway).

I pay $456 a year

im 23 with 1.5 years of riding. No msf.
My car is with geico. I have three speeding tickets all in my car. My 456 is full coverage year around, I store my bike and if something happens to it in off season....well Im covered. A friend had his in his garage, snow caused the roof to collapse and by by motorcycle with liability.

I pay $18 a month...full coverage with State Farm. I'm 26, no MSF, and almost 3 years of riding experience.

I've only had one accident, and it was in my car when I was 17. I've never been pulled over in the car or on the bike (knock on wood). It might help that my sister works for State Farm although I don't really think that matters too much with my rate. It was only $16 a month last year, but they reclassed the bike this year, and I complained to my sister about it, but after looking at some of these other rates, it seems like I've got it pretty good.

Nice, yeah I've noticled IN is a pretty inexpensive state to insure in as long as your not in the middle of a metro area. That's cheap!
Right now, I live in a town of 975 people that's surrounded by cornfields, but I'm getting married in October and moving to Indianapolis, so I'm curious as to what my insurance will be after that. Hopefully, it will even out with the marriage and renter's insurance discounts.

Geico used to have good rates, but they raised mine ($980 for two bikes) even though I hadn't had any accidents, claims, or losses. Switched to Allstate, and got a good rate ($490), but then had problems with the company not processing all the paper I sent to qualify for their discounts, and getting notices that my premium was being increased. Allstate admitted they had received the paperwork, but "couldn't do anything" to suspend the withdrawal of additional premium from my checking account. So, I switched to Dairyland Cycle (Sentry), which was a little more ($580) than Allstate but still a lot less than Geico. I've heard good things about State Farm, but would have had to switch our auto insurance to get their lowest rate, and their auto insurance was more than Geico, so I would have been paying about the same with either company. I shop every year now because I've not realized any benefit from staying with one company. Discounts available: homeowner, multi-policy, transfer, AMA member, MSF class grad.
