So most of you guys know that I've struggled with health problems for quite a while now. Severe thyroid disease that caused massive weight gain, which caused all kinds of other issues like high blood pressure, cholesterol, etc... (Most of those issues are all getting under control now with weight loss) Low back problems, severe neck injury, bum knee and shoulder from years of baseball and football, had to have surgery to correct my f'ed up sinuses and help with sleep apnea, etc...
So today I just got home from an appointment with the optometrist (who just happens to be a riding buddy ) to find out I'm losing pigment in my eyes, the beginnings of glaucoma. REALLY? 33 years old and I'm developing glaucoma? WTF!?!? He says it's in early phases and the pressures in my eyes are OK so far. But they will most likely go up and I will have to be on medicated eye drops eventually. If we stay on top of it I probably won't lose my eye sight, but still, not a good thing to have to deal with. Anyone else on here have any experience with this?
