Shifter won't go into 3rd

Hey all, I recently encountered a problem on my 2014 FZ6R. Trying to go into 3rd gear while riding, the shifter is rock solid and won't move. I have to let off the clutch and get on it again before it will shift. All other gears are ok, no problems down shifting either. Any ideas?

Lube the joints on the shift linkage.
