any tips on how to clean the scuffs and dirt from the rear grab bar as my boots hit it when i get on bike some times ? also is there any way to protect it from this kind on stuff ?

I clean it with soap and water or whatever you use to clean your bike then put some armour all on a cloth and wipe it on. Works like a charm.

Boots probably arent that big of a deal.. As mentioned above, soap/water/dish scrubber will probably do the job..

If you have a bike cover though, be carefull of that heat resistant silver crap.. That got on my grab bar and back seat... I am having a bear of a time with it.. Unable to get it off. Threw out that cover after that and glad that I have a garage now.

My rear grab bar comes pretty clean, when I wash the bike. The old, water, soap and specially designed vehicle washing sponge (microfiber on one side, bug-scrubbing mesh on the other) does the trick.

I'm not trying to be an ass here, but if you scraping the grab bar with your boots, as you throw a leg over your bike, and it bothers you? Why not just change the way you mount the girl?
