Congrats, Jon. I'm sure a lot of the old timers on here remember your trials and tribulations in acquiring your FZ6R.

Glad you've gone to a bike that oozes character. Ducatisti seem to be very passionate about their bikes.

I used to own a '78 CB550--really, really great little bike that I loved dearly, but it had many mechanical problems, none of which were my doing. I would suggest staying away from old bikes unless you truly love wrenching, love problem solving, and have the budget for the repairs it will inevitably need. I now love owning a modern, reliable, EFI bike! More riding, less wrenching!
