In my book there's a degree of "risk" that we can deal with. Alone is a degree... with a passenger you can have any! Shit can go very wrong on a bike. Either the driver faults, a cager driving by or just because shit happen. When I drive with my wife, it's fully safe mode. I'm not taking any chance. In a questionable moment I never hesitate to back off and slow down.
What that guy did is absolutely stupid, can't find a better words. As he's transitioning from one corner to another I can tell the bike is just not responding. The passenger just don't "follow"... that's probably why the bike when straight in the corner and off road. All he had to do is back off instead of trying to keep up with his buddy...

yeah, he should have backed it way off, once he started crossing the double yellow... sure sign he didn't have good control, whether it was bad traction, bad passenger, or whatever, he was just flat out too fast for those conditions...

Difficult to watch. Seems a little irresponsible, particularly two up. I only hope he reflects on the idea that target fixation means he hasn't learned to ride yet.
But we all have to learn every lesson either the hard way or the easy way.
I'm also trying to evaluate what would have happened if a car was oncoming at the time.
I love videos, and they are very important, but I wonder how many sport bike riders actually appreciate that breaking the yellow line is a traffic infraction, and a moving one at that.

I'll give him credit for after the fact... if you read the comments on his youtube page, he knows he messed up... and he owns up to the fact that he was willing to put up his mistake (and take the criticism) so others could learn from it. Said it was the passengers choice to not wear gloves, he offered.
Well I'm glad he owned up to it but NEITHER of those bikes had any business ridding like that. WHY?
Watch the guy in front... His body positioning is ASKING not to take a curve tight enough. He's leaning against the bike and not with it.
If I were a dame and someone was riding like that I'd start nagging to let me off until they finally stopped then hop off. You can't ride like that with a passenger. Especially since neither knows how to properly negotiate a turn.

If your riding buddy goes down. Never make him/her get back on the bike when he's not ready. His buddy is a D-BAG for doing that to him. The whole vid I hear "I'm sorry" and "Oh my back"....WHY THE "F" ARE YOU FORCING HIM BACK ON THE BIKE. ASSHOLE

yep, our number one rule, if there's no broken bones, sit him out of danger of other traffic... get him some water, or whatever... let him/her rest a bit... it's a mental and physical thing with shock...
and get the bike stood up ASAP, hot engines do not like fluids sitting where they aren't supposed to... and you don't know if there is fluid leaking until you stand it up and check it out.
