Hey All! So i've been lurking around getting information since June when I got my new 2011 FZ6r (copper) and have yet to introduce myself. I live in norther VA about 35 miles outside of DC and have been riding an r6 for the last year but its just so uncomfortable on long rides and the 6r is so great! I got my bike back in June and it is currently in for its 600 mile service and I'm going threw withdrawls :( but I'm super excited to get it back and finally have all the new bike restrictions taken off. I'm waiting for my bike to get back Wed so I can put on the new mirrors (zx-6r that i've seen a lot of ppl use) and the new smoked windscreen, its killing me to just look at them sitting there waitng to be put on! I'm looking to do a new exhaust very soon so any input would be great! Its so quite compared to the r6 with the TBR on it that I had a lot of issues stalling out becasue i coudln't hear it very well! I know there aren't a lot of options for the 2011's yet so I'm trying to learn as much as I can to make a good informed decision.

Looking forward to hearing everything for all you guys, your knowledge amazes me and i can't wait to learn from you all!

nothing has changed from 09-2011 other than color so anything the older ones have, the same fits a 2011  only a few exhaust options exist for our bikes. Many threads here about them just type exhaust in the search function. Marthy has a GREAT exaust solution if your not looking to drop a little over a grand for exaust. His is only $425!!!!

Anyways welcome to the site if there is anything you need feel free to PM me and Ill do my best to help you out! We have a great community here!

I'm in Dale City for the time being, about to move on out to stafford VA! Thanks for the welcomes, I have been eyeing up Marthy's I really don't want to drop the 1200 plus they have been quoting me. On the plus side got a phone call from the service dept yesterday and my bike is done! I'll be going to pick it up and finally see exactly what it can do with out the new bike restrictions on it!

Your bike is still in it's breakin period....

Check the manual, although deeply argued on this forum, the bike is still restricted until 1000 miles. On a good note, u now can ride at higher RPMs for next 400 miles. Just check. I think it is around 7 to 7.5k RPMs.

And welcome to the forum.

Thanks, I have yet to take it over 7.5k RPMs and don't really see the need right now but on the plus side as of about 2 hrs ago when I got back from my celebratory picking my bike ride it has a little over 800 miles so even with those restrictions till 1000 i'm still pretty close. I'm excited there are seem to be a good amount of ppl from NOVA on here.

Traffic around here is a show :surrender: Be safe!

I love the junkies, I use the word Dagger and butt hurt entirely to much. Last night I went out to Stafford taking Aden and its always a nice ride.. then if its getting to late i just take 95 back to Dale City and its got good options. We will all have to get together for a ride sometime soon, I'm good with heading your way since there are better rt's that way then up here.

Going in 7 - greenway - 28. Reverse coming back. IM way too lazy on most days to try different routes.

Today's ride was nice for once...Herndon to Winchester was 46 minutes. No bottleneck on 7 in leesburg before route 9 was the key.
