You missed the one that I had for sale....I had the Yamaha Comfort Seat and I thought that it was more uncomfortable than the stock seat. Gel gets too hot. I have found a place that makes seat pads....Brooklyn Butt Buffer, they were at a motorcycle show that I went to, and it was pretty comfortable. They have a website: Brooklyn Butt Buffer - Relieving lower back discomfort for motorcycle ridersA few use the Airhawk pads. Seem to really like them. I plan on picking one or two up for my bike eventually.
yeah but those things just cook under your butt? I tried one and had to give it away. I couldn't take how hot that thing got.I have a gel pad now n it works pretty good.
buuuuut, how does it feel on your butt?I bought the comfort seat gel pad from ebay (2) and insert it in the seat itself. It was a bit better but not enough to keep it. The gel was bottoming out too and I could feel my butt bone bottoming on the plastic. So I end up throwing everything away and started almost from scratch with new foam.
2 layer of high density foam (1")
2 layer of low density foam (1")
1 layer of foam to blend in everything
Then the upholstery guy next door covered it up nicely. Yellow and black.
She feel good in the butt!buuuuut, how does it feel on your butt?
What what....??? In the butt? She feel good in the butt!
:surrender: she easy on my butt. Comfy! What what....??? In the butt?
Well I haven't posted anything on it yet, because I haven't gone on any super long rides, but on the two hour ride I did go on last week, it was noticably better. Not a hint of my butt getting sore. Usually by the two hour mark I start to squirm in my seat. I'll post pics of the seat when I get back home in a couple of weeks. It looks almost stock, but if you compare it to the stock it is probably a little thicker looking. Stock vinyl cover, reused, but all new padding, and that Supracore material seems to really work. I'll post more about it, including some pics, once I've taken it on a day long trip.Nastybutler, how do you like the new seat?
