Fork Leaking...

Hi,

I'm from Malaysia. i just bought a one year old, 2nd hand FZ6R.
My problem is i found oil leaking at front fork but I unable to identify from where the oil come from.
Please...i seek for your help. Thanks..

Yup. Not too tough to replace if you have a place to work on your bike. For them to go out so soon is a bit odd though. How many miles are on the bike?

If it has been wheelied a lot, that can mess up the fork seals

I was gonna say, that or simply jumped a lot... bumpy roads and catching lots of air....


get new seals, put in a little heavier oil while you're at it, if not a spring upgrade too. no time like needing repairs to do a little upgrade as well

I had a fork seal leak about 3-4 months after purchasing my FZ6R. Dealer covered it under "warranty".

Although rare, it's not un-heard of for a new bike to have a problem with a fork seal.

I've never "wheelie"'d my bike, but I can see how that would cause premature failure of the seal.
