Well guys Friday evening I was at home putting together a dresser, when I got to the point where it was all done but the knobs on the drawers I realized there was no bolts in the box for the knobs to attach.

So I told my girl I needed to go get to lowes and get some bolts and i'd be back, but I was going to take the bike since I hadn't got to ride in a few days. So She decided she wanted to come along for the ride, so we gear up and get on our way. Well it looked like rain when we came out but I didn't really care haha, its only a mile from my apartment to lowes.

So We go to lowes, go in, get the bolts, come out and the sky looks like death and its literally dark and it was only 6 PM  So I tell her to hold on because i'm going to try to beat this rain.

Well needless to say we made it maybe 15 feet and it started raining, not bad, but it was raining. So we get into the part with all these traffic lights (you go through 5 on the way to lowes from my apartment!) so I split lanes and get to the front and each one and the cagers were waving me on as they could tell I wasn't comfortable on this ride.

Then it started raining even harder, like SUPER hard. and I was having to ride with my face shield up it was so dark. (had my mirrored one on) that hard of rain hitting your face at 30 MPH sucks just so you know. Luckily I wear glasses or I woulda been blind.

It took us about 20 minutes to get home but we made it. I got back she ran into the complex and I covered the bike back up.

Suprisingly she said she loved the ride. She amazingly liked the rain hitting her lol, I myself was miserable, but I was glad she wasn't as uncomfortable as I was.

Awesome story, thanks for sharing. My girlfriend was always criticizing me for going on rides, or being on forums. Then the other day I was going to the bank and 7/11. Since I had bought a helmet and had two, I asked her if she wanted to go with me. She was a little nervous, but by the time we got three blocks away and we stopped at a light, she goes, "When can you teach me!?!?" I'll probably send her to the MSF course and pay for it myself. :)
