Dumping Coolant Thermostat Location

I have not been on here in a decade plus (sold my 2009 FZ6R years ago) but bought a 2016 FZ6R 2 days ago. It dumps coolant from the overflow a minute or two after the vehicle is shut off from a short ride and it is hot here in Texas. It's not overheating and the fan kicks on at about 210f. I'm going to replace the radiator cap and thermostat but cannot find the thermostat housing? Is it in the front of the motor? I'm use to them being on the side. Hoping it's not a head gasket but oil and coolant look clean.

I found it. Of course not real easy to get tools in there lol

It took me about an hour just to find the reservoir on my bike when I got it lol. Tight squeeze in there

Got lucky...was the radiator cap.
