Best Places to Ride in The US

I was on Maui a couple of years ago and drove the road to Hana. If it weren't for the traffic, and the occasional sudden and unexpected rain, I'd say that would be the road of all roads for a bike.

Couldn't tell you, I'm on Oahu! There are some good spots here, but like you said, traffic and rain! This place would be great if you ride cruisers, but not the best for sport at all! Plus there are no tracks for bikes here! At least I haven't heard or found any! Oh well though, I leave here this year!

Here's a few pictures from our drive on the Road to Hanna. Many parts of the road were just wet all the time from either sudden rain or water that just comes running down out of and off the rock walls. You can see in some of the pics the way the road cuts through the trees. It goes around the north east part of the island. About 60 miles with about 60 bridges and something like 615 turns. It takes about 3 hours. Like I said, would be fun on a bike if you didn't try to ride like you were on a sport bike.

Where did you guys stay? We were on Ka'anapali beach at the Ka'anapali Beach Resort. Most beautiful place I've ever been.
