Alright I know this has been slightly discussed in a few topics. I searched "Battery" and I searched "Charging System" and the threads I found either confused me or didn't give enough information to feel confident in my knowledge, so here I am and here are my questions.

I'm going to be on my honeymoon / vacation for about a month, so I believe I need to get a battery tender, correct? Any easy to use noob recommendations if this is correct?

I plan on installing LED underglow in September-ish, and I want to add a USB port or a 12V cigarette port like NastyButler did eventually as well. Will these addons be too much together?

Are there instruments/modifications out there that allow more accessories to be added? For instance, something that boosts are bike's ability to give power so that it can do more than what it does at stock (which I believe I read is 220~ watts)?

If my questions don't make sense or are way off, I apologize. Like I said, I asked based off of what I read from other threads. Let me know if this is possible/impossible, and how so. Thanks!

PS: Please spell it out. The more information you give me, the less I'll have to waste your time with questions. I'm relatively good at figuring things out on my own, but when it comes to something that is going to cost me money, I want all the info first! :)

Battery tender FTW

Leds FTW

USB FTW

You will be fine leds don'tpull much power. As for charging system upgrade..... non that I know of

Awesome, thanks :) Any battery tender recommendations? Or just go into AutoZone and grab whatever? Haha

You should definitely install a fused relay. Not only will this save your battery from getting drained with all those add-ons, but it will also give you the ability to turn your LEDs on and off with a switch, and even the USB port if you so desire. Here is a very useful page that I used. Installed 6 LED strips and haven't had a problem yet.

Just got my Battery Tender Jr. today. I ordered it off ebay for $26.99 free shipping, and it was brand new in the box. It only took three days to come in. Hopefully I can hook it up to my bike before Tuesday cause I will be having my left hand done for Carpral Tunnel, but on top of that the Dr. told me he has to cut my left index finger and remove scar tissue. I broke my left index finger a year ago and the scar tissue is so bad it is starting to inhibit my movement, anyway :backtotopic: this weekend I plan on hooking up the tender Jr. and cutting my air box. Bottom line is "I AM READY TO GET BACK ON MY BIKE AND RIDE":banghead:

+1 on the fused relay...

Yea I definitely plan on having the relay, I was reading up on that and it sounded like a solid, pretty easy task. Will the guys at AutoZone be able to answer my questions on what material I'll need for setting up a relay with some LEDs and a USB/Cigarette outlet or can anyone spell out the materials I'll need for this setup?

As for the battery tender, I'll get that as well for sure. Can it be hooked up 24/7, even when I'm riding it?
