Bar riser mounts

Has anybody replaced their stock handlebar mounts for something shorter?
I found these:

Thinking about trying these out, they are 22mm tall. which is significant decrease in the stock mounts.

:zombie:I am not sure about lowering anything. I have had the opposite problem. I bought the bike and its got a lowering ling on the rear suspension and the front fork are at least 1 1/2 in lowered than stock. I need to know how to get it back to stock height.

Let me know anything you find out and I will do the same. I dont see why that wouldnt work for you.

All you need to do is remove the lowering link under the gas tank.

Im with KSK, i replaced mine but with bigger ones that tilted back some. Put much less pressure on my wrists and i love them.

do your existing mounts or risers bolt on like the ones you want to buy do; with one large bolt and a nut?

I should have posted something about that link earlier. But the diameter of the bolt didn't fit the stock ones. Im sure I could have purchased different bolts to allow it to fit but it wouldn't have worked since I lowered the front.

Well there's other options. You can throw on some Woodcraft Clip Ons. These work for sure and not only that but the bike will look and feel sportier. But if compared to the risers you're talking about these clip ons are quite pricey. Nevertheless, they're awesome and totally worth it.

What does it take to drop the front forks 1.5"? Is there a video out there? Is it required for the woodcraft 41mm w/1.5" riser? Thanks in advance!

I just did this a few weeks ago. I don't know if there is a video (Looking back, I should have made one when I did it) but I followed this thread; http://www.600cc.org/forum/f91/lowering-front-end-step-step-26279/

It really is pretty simple, just take your time. I used clamps to make sure it didn't drop too far. I put woodcrafts on and they've been great. If you haven't seen it yet, here's a thread I had posted some pics of my bike before and after the drop and the clip-ons;
