I've got XX-6 and it is snug fit ...I've fot the XX-14. Quick to throw on and take off. No complaints.
No vehicle is safe from repo... I do this on the side myself and yeah, it's not hard to take bikes....I spoke to a friend yesterday who doubles as the repo man at night... he was able to grab a GSXR with a Xena lock on it. The alarm went off, but all they had to do was lift the front wheel and they were able to lift it on to the bed of their truck.
I might have to look at the cable + lock solution instead.
http://www.600cc.org/forum/f88/spot-put-our-helmet-25519/How many of you riders out there have alarm systems on your bikes? I'm wondering if they're worth having.
And another thing; I've seen people leave their helmets tied to their bikes when they go inside a business. Is there a way to really secure them that well, or it is crazy to do that?
Is this in your carport/driveway? The plate.I have a bike alarm but also use one of these:
Motorcycle security: XX15 disc-lock alarm for motorcycles, scooters & ATVs
I also have a second disc lock, and I have a 3/4" braided cable with built-lock run thru the frame to a stainless steel mount I fabricated mounted to the floor.
While that is true, my friends Smith and Wesson have a way of persuading people.Former bike thief answers questions http://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/t5shp/ex_thief_chopshop_operator_ama/
According to him if a good thief wants it pretty much nothing will stop him...
While I have the same mind state (although will prolly never own another S&W again because of a horrible experience with a sigma and have recently discovered CZ) in reality it's impossible to keep your eye on your bike 24/7, you gotta sleep sometime right. While that is true, my friends Smith and Wesson have a way of persuading people.
Thats also true but surveillance cameras don't have to sleep. While I have the same mind state (although will prolly never own another S&W again because of a horrible experience with a sigma and have recently discovered CZ) in reality it's impossible to keep your eye on your bike 24/7, you gotta sleep sometime right.
What good is a camera going to do to actually prevent the theft? You need a loud alarm. Either through motion sensing cameras or on the bike itself....Thats also true but surveillance cameras don't have to sleep.
