If you get a disc lock with an alarm, the alarm will remind you, no?I dont use disk locks anymore (bad pelvis memories, ha ha) but some people do so this may help, the safest way to use them (of course learned too late): a piece of electric tape on the lock key hole (so you need to remove the tape to open it) as you remove the tape from the lock stick the tape over your ignition, when you get back must take it off to insert your key in the ignition wich i hope will remind you of the lock
I have this one, its bright yellow which is also a deterrent... Haven't had an issue with my bike and the alarm has never gone off... It goes off when I take it off but that's unavoidable and its not too annoying, it gives you about 5 seconds of just beeping before it really starts going... It's heavy too and just fits perfectly under the rear seat...I don't currently have an alarm on my bike, but I am considering one since the hospital I work in is located in one of the worst neighborhoods in the city.
I really like the idea of having a disc lock alarm. They lock around the disc so the bike can't be rolled, but they also have motion and shock sensors that sound an alarm if someone does try to move the bike. It's like two security features in one.

That's the idea ... the ROADLOK attached permanently on your front brake caliper. you only need to put in the key when you left the bike, and take it out when you want to use the bike (such as disc lock). it's expensive though, but it claim it will never break your disc compare to if you use regular disc lock. How do u carry that around tho? I usually keep my GPS tracker, wallet/keys/cell, as well as first aid kit and other small items under the rear seat. But, it's already a tight fight. Id have nowhere to put that thing. lol
on the video she said that the US and UK insurance discount may cover the price of the lock on the long run. hmmmm ... may ask my insurance if they have this discount can be applied.Damn that RoadLok thing is kind of neat...
If only it wasn't 300 bucks for the FZ6R one...
