Alignment of the Cosmos

A couple weeks ago I did a bit of mental math and realized I had a once in a lifetime shot at mileage glory. I had to walk to work a few times in order to save mileage for this special occasion:



I snapped that photo at 55 mph, 55,555 miles on the odo, at 5:55 PM, in 5th gear, and 5K rpm. The best part? IT WAS ON CINCO DE MAYO! (5/5)

I keep a small digital camera velcro'd to my tank bag. I made the on/off button easier to operate wearing gloves by adding a bit of epoxy, and the shutter button is big.

The camera fits right there between the voice recorder and the solar charger:


It makes for interesting road trip shots from the saddle, like these:





Dangerous? Yep. Worth it? Yep.
