I recently bought a new bike and now have to sell my FZ6R. I loved this bike and it turned out to be a perfect first streetbike.
I had Michelin Pilot Road 4 tires...
Never noticed this thread before....don't have many motorcycle pics, but here is one from my vacation to Crater Lake. Check out all my pics at Flickr: Jeff__T's Photostream

Thanks for the guide, this helped a lot. It was actually pretty easy, but those adjustment screws sure are sensitive.
By the way, the new Motion Pro tool comes with everything you need and doesn't use mercury anymore.

Changed the oil for the first time today at just under 4k miles (Dealer did the initial service). I was looking at the maintenance schedule and didn't realize there were so many other things to check. Guess I have a bit more work to do :)
I decided to go with Amsoil 10W-40 and a K&N filter...
It's working :)
So, I was using the wrong wire. After some searching, I found the connector under the tank inside a black rubber boot. It is a pink wire in a white 3-wire connector as the manual states.
It was nice to finally see the speed and gear reading in the software. I did the...
ok, good to know. The PCV documentation says to use the pink wire on the 3-wire white connector under the tank. I thought that this 3-wire black connector was the other end of that, but I guess not. I've looked for the white connector before, but have not seen it.
Heard back from Dynojet support this morning. They're saying that it looks like I have connected to the MAP sensor and not the speed sensor. Strange because I connected there based on a video someone from the forum posted (and apparently that worked fine). I'll take another look at it tonight.
Yep, I have adv gear rev b loaded as well as the touring map. I soldered the speed sensor wire today, but didn't make a difference.
I sent an email to Dynojet support, so we'll see what they say.
Yep, it's the pink one. I guess I will just get rid of the connector and solder the wire on. Actually, I might try measuring the voltage at the end of the wire, where it goes into the PCV, first. Any idea what I should expect?
Looks like one of the problems was that the connector did not cut all the way through the insulation. I fixed it and checked everything with my multimeter, but still it just says 0 for speed and gear. I wonder if I am using the wrong wire....
I took some pics, does it look like it is...
So finally got around to buying a stand (Pitbull, loving it so far). Got the bike up on it and sure enough, the PCV isn't showing any gear/speed info. I guess I'll be tearing the bike apart this weekend to troubleshoot
I just went through this. I specified red and received black. Not the end of the world, but it's irritating. After buying their frame sliders and spool adapters I am never buying anything from T-Rex again.
I used a simple toggle switch from radio shack, but may change later. I placed mine on the inside of the left panel. Kind of hidden away, but easily accessible at any time with gloves on.

LOL....well I work in software verification, so maybe that's it :)
I don't have a stand yet, but I will see if it will at least show the gear change with the clutch in. Can I calibrate the speed sensor with the clutch in, or does the wheel actually have to be spinning?
