Need Help I need help it’s my one and only way to get to work

Hey if you kept your old plugs, you could do some testing and either chase down the offending bad plug, or straight up swap the entire old set back in to see if the plugs aren’t your problem. Also, and this is unlikely, but perhaps one or more of the new plugs have a goofy gap. Stranger things...

    Need Help Low Idle RPM

Ohhh you must be referring to the AIS system... two little hoses that run to the valve cover? I deleted that system when I went with exhaust and fuel controller.

    3.33 Gear Ratio (-1/+4)

I've been to both Cresson and Houston. I'm gonna go back to Cresson for my next one because this gearing feels like it'll REALLY shine on that short track.

Need Help I need help it’s my one and only way to get to work

I would go back into her and verify that the plug wires are all snapped down tightly. They should've clicked when you pressed down on them. *Sidenote: make sure you remove the adapter fittings from the plug ends. I had a subscriber insist that he left his on, but I honestly don't understand how...

    Need Help Low Idle RPM

Get a good grip on the air box and sort of rock it back and forth toward the front and rear of the bike (not sideways)... it'll pop off the throttle bodies eventually with a "rocking/wiggling" motion.

    R6 Adjustable Rear Swap?

I heard rumor that someone over in the FZ6 forums apparently fitted an R1 rear monoshock to their FZ6... I'm curious..

    Need Help Low Idle RPM

There is an idle adjustment screw right inside the frame on the left side of the bike. It is addressed on page 3-8 of the factory service manual. Make that adjustment when she's at full operating temp. You may also want to sync your throttle bodies.

    R6 Adjustable Rear Swap?

Anyone know if there’s a generation of R6 adjustable rear shock that’ll swap directly onto the Fizzer?

    3.33 Gear Ratio (-1/+4)

For anyone interested in the ultimate outcome of this experiment, I'll continue updating this thread over the long-term. I've opted for the compromise of a -1/+3 setup from Vortex; that's 15/49. I'll report back on results from the track.

    3.33 Gear Ratio (-1/+4)

Hey thanks for the reply Marthy. Check out this "Quick Acceleration" kit featuring a 15/47 setup: https://www.ebay.com/itm/152601351010 That's a fantastic price at $125. I messaged those guys about the 15/50 setup and they basically said good luck keeping the front end down on the track...

    3.33 Gear Ratio (-1/+4)

For my fellow track day junkies: As I slowly transition my Fizzer more and more toward track bike status, I am toying with the idea of a stout gearing change. So far in my experience, the bike's weakest link (aside from its standard peg configuration) is the exit from hairpin turns where I'm...

Running different after black widow exhaust install

My understanding is there isn't a company out there that will ECU flash the Fizzer. I myself run an R6 header with Radiant Cycles Shorty GP and the Hindle Performance tune. I ran Marthy's RevA map for years and it's a fine tune; however, the Hindle tune is dyno-based and delivers a bit more...

Perhaps consider the simple things, first. Air and spark; when was the last time you changed the plugs and air filter?

Need Help Bike goes in gear but will not move

Your pressure plate may not be moving far enough for proper engagement, meaning pushrod 2 may require adjustment. Refer to steps 12 and 13 on pages 5-55 and 5-56 in the service manual. Be sure the marks on the push lever and push lever case are lined up when the clutch lever is at rest, and...
