PCV Maps

I have a PCV coming in today but noticed that there's not that many maps offered by DynoJet. I ordered a K&N air filter and am looking at exhaust options that won't break the bank. Debating on getting a Delkavic or modding my stock exhaust to house a slip on. What maps is suggested for these or even to go the R6 header route? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

You could try the official Two Brothers map for it otherwise I know A LOT of people use Marthy’s RevmapA and RevmapB. He has those tunes set up around a modified exhaust (cutting the pipe at the cats and welding a can on). Otherwise I know BlackWidow sells full systems for around $500 and they claim it “doesn’t require tuning”. If you take a look around the “Mods” section you’ll see a lot about Marthy’s stuff

I see lots about Marthy’s maps but don’t know how to go about getting them. I’ve installed the K&N and am currently running the stock tune. Am very interested in modding the stock exhaust.

I don't believe the R6 maps would work well in the 6R, it's a different torque setup. It's also 20 hp less than the R6 motor. If what I've been reading is correct, the R stands for Reduced. They shifted the torque curve to the bottom end as opposed to closer to the high end on the R6. I had an R6 and I don't recall it having less torque at the low end. Heck that beast pulled hard at any end low or high LOL! If I were you, I would get the Power Vision that has a built in AutoTune feature. I've got one that I flashed my 1200 Sporty then AT'd it and it works great. Why use a canned map when you can customize your own. I bought mine for $399 from Fuel Moto and they sent me a canned map with it for my particular modification. I used it till I fine tuned it with an AT. It now runs better than any big twin I've had. The PCV is an awesome tuner but it's dated and limited and not going to do you much good without a map that's going to work for your scoot. PM me and we can discuss further.

Hi, I am a New owner of 2013 FZ6R with 1900 Miles and have rode only 40 miles so far. It has Two bros exhaust with no PC and I believe stock filter. It has a lot of decel pop from 6K down to3K. Also, I do not feel the throttle response and sound is as smooth as is supposed to be. After reading through so many posts here, I believe PC will eliminate most of the pop but not all of it. I also believe it will help with smoother throttle response.
Marthy has done a great deal of hard work and very thankful for that. I would like to be able to use it...

A few questions.
1. I would like to know if PCFC would be sufficient or is PCV needed considering the extra $100 for PCV ?
2. Does Marthy's Maps dependent on the device PCFC vs PCV ?
3. Could Some one please email me All available Marthy's maps for Two Bros exhaust (For both PCV or PCFC and stock air/K&N etc).

Do i need block plates for the exhaust with Two bros exhaust along with PC ? If yes, could someone tell me if it is an beginner job ?

Thanks and Appreciate your help !

1. Either of the PC’s will work but if you have the money I would suggest getting the PCV
2. I’m almost certain that Marthy’s maps all require the PCV
3. I personally don’t have the maps, but if you email Marthy he’ll send you them

if you don’t put in the block off plates then you’ll always have tons of popping. When I changed my exhaust I threw those on without a PC and it eliminated most of it. It is a pretty simple job to do. Just a couple bolts for the tank and a couple bolt to pull the filer housing. I would suggest putting a new filer in as well since you’ll be in there

Thank you person41. Nice info. Do you have PCV or just the block off plates? If block off plates would solve it, that's great. I still think it will run lean. Meanwhile milage is like 130 miles for 3.2 gallons. Not sure if that is normal. Doesn't running lean use less fuel and more air. Shouldn't that add mileage?

Personally I’ve just got the block off plates. There’s still popping on decel but it’s just one or two loud pops and that all. Yeah running lean would slightly increase gas mileage. However the FZ6R already runs slightly lean and I doubt putting a new exhaust on makes it run that lean. One a full tank, I get about 140 miles

Did you remove the reed valves when you added the block offs? I removed Reed valves don't remember the orientation to put it back.

Hello everyone. I have a 2015 FZ6r with a KN air filter and stock exhaust mod. I recently got a pcv and was wondering if anyone has tunes for this type of setup. Thank you in advance.
