I have used Vistacruise on every street bike I have owned. It is a very simple switch that you use with your thumb. Easy installation too, especially if you look it up on youtube. I tried a crampbuster and it never felt natural to me.

Vista Cruise Control at Motorcycle Superstore

I use the universal one on the left. I tried the other one and it didn't seem to hold the throttle in place very well. You will lose about 1/2 inch of your throttle space but it's never been a problem for me.

I bought the universal Vistacruise for my 2011 FZ6R and it wouldn't work. I even went down today and had the dealer attempt to put it on and after trying, they said they were not able to install it. My question now is I'd like to go with the Throttlemeister being how it looks clean and seems simple to install, but I do not see one listed on their website for a 2011 FZ6R. I see some listed for the FZ6, but even at that, I don't see anything for 2011 bikes. Will the one for the FZ6 work for our bikes?

If the bar ends are the same, the throttlemeister will work fine. I'd put the probability at 0.999 (99.9%) only because I haven't looked.

FWIW, I've used them all, even a rubber o-ring. Hated the vista cruise. Love the throttlemeister - rode to Alaska and back using it.

I'm not sure why it would not work. Then try the Throttlemeister, it gets great reviews. I've used Vista on my last 3 bikes so I'm very comfortable using it. Feels natural to me after so many bikes and miles. Best of luck!

I use the universal Japanese model. They are not really bike specific, just the size of the handlebar is all you need. It comes with a few different parts to allow it to fit on almost any bike.

I'd like to have cruise control.
I've just been cautious about bits of plastic getting in the way of throttle control* as it doesn't seem so safe to me, do they jam or interfere with braking ?
It's interesting to see what is available in any case.

* - I remember hiring a Toyota car in the US on a work trip once(yes I had a good job once) and was amazed that the design allowed the accelerator to get stuck under the kick panel(and also the snow floor mat) in the full down position. The people at work gave me strange looks when I told them, as if what I said was impossible and I must surely be mistaken, but then a few years later there was all those cases of people going down the freeway in their US Toyotas with the accelerator stuck. I spotted this problem during the control familiarisation before I even drove off and also worked out the way to unstick it by feel with my foot in case it happened. (driving on the wrong side of the road can make one more cautious than usual at first) Anyway, I had to get that off my chest, carry on.

When on a nice long ride yesterday (about 150 miles) and was able to put the Vista Cruise Control to test...

Pro
easy to install, it took less than 10 min to install
it is easy to set and disengage with just your thumb
you are able to adjust the throttle while it is engaged
seems to old speed well

Con
the only con I can think of is the look of it installed and that is not terrible just not as clean as without it.

I should add if (like me) you have never used a cruise control on a motorcycle before, you can’t just set it and forget about it (like a car) you do still have to pay attention to your speed because it will be effected by wind, hills, etc...

But overall, for about $30 I think it is worth it.
