Since I couldn't really sleep this morning, I woke up early (5am) and decided to go for a real quick ride at 6am when there was light outside before having to suit up for work.
Decided to save a bunch of time so I skipped the jacket and boots and went out in a t-shirt, jeans, sneakers, gloves, and my full-face Shoei. I honestly didn't think about any of it until I was doing 40mph and was freezing because I didn't have a jacket on. It felt awkward and i'm not sure how guys on cruisers/sport bikes do it in t-shirts and shorts every time.
A twig in the road, deer crossing the street, car making a u-turn, mechanical failure, etc. would have caused me to crash and get some SERIOUS road rash.
Always wear your gear, no matter how much longer it takes!!
