After being inspired by the work here, I decided to take the leap.
In conclusion, the bike sounds like a well tuned WRX STI. Very low deep growl.
From about 2800-3400 RPM, there is a very annoying vibration in my helmet, though, I'm never in that RPM range much anyway.

EDIT: There popping sound only occurs if I quickly release the throttle. It sounds like an old two-stroke bike but it is not very noticeable. I like it.
