the ass picture that popped on my work computer wasn't coolHoly crap. That Knee looks scary.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2Will I keep riding in jeans? Absolutely. If I’m going to live life on a bike, I’m going to live that life. Will I ride in full gear a little more often? I’m hoping the Roadcrafter will help with that. But, there’s no substitute for turning up at a restaurant or a meeting or whatever in the same clothes I can wear inside. It’s about finding the balance between the two. Jacket and jeans when I need to look good immediately, Roadcrafter when I have a place to stash my stuff.
And that decision correlates with choosing to use bikes as my primary mode of transportation. Am I compromising safety? Absolutely, but I do so aware of the risks, aware of the consequences and prepared to accept and deal with them. Don’t feel sorry for me, don’t pity me and especially don’t judge me. Don’t preach to me. This is just a part of the life I’ve chosen to lead; a life on a bike. I do something that’s risky, but that risk is part of the point.
Jeans are a bad idea, hopefully my experience helps you understand and appreciate that. Hopefully it helps you make an informed choice about what you wear. But there is a choice, and I’ll still be choosing the more dangerous option some of the time. The upside? More scars!
I want those!I've got a pair of these with fully fitted Knox armour and they are COMPLETELY lined, and they look exactly like everyday Jeans.

Took a quick look at the website. Do the jeans have pockets inside to hold the armor they sell? Is it adjustable? Looks like they are, but figured I'd double check.I've got a pair of these with fully fitted Knox armour and they are COMPLETELY lined, and they look exactly like everyday Jeans.

My sidi boots start to get Uncomfortable after I'm off the bike within hour.I just don't get it. What's so horrible about the gear? I stroll into work, through the store, with my boots, pants and jacket on, carrying my helmet with gloves in it. Everyone looks. Some stare.
Heck, I just feel bad-ass. Since I've been ATGATT I have never heard one single comment about my gear that wasn't positive. I very seldom see a look that isn't "Wow!" and on the rare occasion I get a scoffing look it has without exception been from a type of person whose opinion of me means less than any ant I happen to step on with my boots on the way to my bike.
I get to the rear of the store, change into my khakis in the family bathroom, and it's no big deal. I store my gear on a chair, in a room in the back. When I leave I put it all on again.
I honestly don't see what the big deal is, walking in public in motorcycle gear. Should I be afraid to show that I ride a motorcycle? Are jeans so necessary in our society that I should worry if I'm seen in public without them? I honestly do not get it.
That's true enough. My son has a mandatory chorus class at school. They had a recital recently. I didn't take the bike.My sidi boots start to get Uncomfortable after I'm off the bike within hour.
Being fully geared for social gathers can be a annoyance.
