Updating the stock look- need help!

So I've began updating my 2009 FZ6R with the basics. I've done the fender eliminator kit, added frame slider, gotten the flush blinker kit, and even the LED pig spotter mirrors.

Next to is take off the decals ;) and have the fairings customized, but I also want to do a little something more.

...I just bought a stand for the bike, and want to take the wheels off to get them powder coated. How hard is this? So far, I've done all the work to my bike myself- but with this being the wheels, I want to make sure I don't mess up the bike. Any tips or recommendations for a newbie? :p

I don't own the 6R anymore but taking the wheels off is a breeze, provided you have a way to get it completely off the ground.

Front-Remove brake calipers and hang them up with something to keep weight off the brake lines. Remove pinch bolt(s) at bottom of forks. Remove axle bolt and slide out axle. If your bike isn't very high off the ground, depending on how the bike is supported, you may have to remove or at least loosen the fender. Make sure not to lose the spacers between the wheel and the forks.

Rear-Remove brake caliper and support it. There's an aluminum bracket that holds the caliper in position. You'll have to remember how that goes back on for re-assembly. Do not touch chain adjusters, and remove the rear axle. Now you can take chain adjusters out of swingarm but be sure not to lose their adjustment position. Also good idea not to lose track of which one goes on which side. Move wheel forward to get chain off sprocket, then back to remove wheel from bike. Don't lose spacers or adjustment markers.

Hope this helps, it's hard to picture it without the bike in front of me.
