Universal GPS mount

Has anyone found a decent universal GPS handlebar mount? For some reason my Tom Tom model isn't listed for any of the model specific mounts and I'm not sure which one would be compatible. So looking for something that's universal but everything like that out there seems to be made for iPods and cell phones and are all too small.

I did find THIS one but it's a bit more money than I wanted to pay and I'm still not 100% sure it'll fit my GPS. I thought it'd be easy and cheap to mount this thing but I guess not.

I got mine on ebay for a few bucks, works perfect, I can try to get a pic of it a little later on around lunch time.. Mine is for a Garmin GPS..

The Universal Ram mount you listed is the exact same one I purchased for my TomTom XL330S. I love the mount and it allows for quite a bit of adjustability.

Not sure what you are doing to power the GPS but I recommend one of these:

I mounted this next to the seat lock on the leftside. I have the GPS power running from the 1st 12V up to the mount and the the other supply goes to the battery for my battery tender. Try to snap a few pics that show what I mean (only required a small modification to the side).

Not to intentionally bring this back from the dead, but what diameters are our handlebars? I was thinking of just using a simple bar clamp-type mount that'd be mounted dead in the middle of the handlebars...

Excellent. It looks like llervo's link & my link are the same, just for different GPS units. Mine is a Garmin Nuvi 350. It's kinda old, and though it holds charge quite well, if something were to happen to it, I'd be sad, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings too much. For $20, hell... I'll give it a go. And since Purple Drink mentioned our bars are ~ 7/8", bam, perfect!

For anyone interested for the RAM MOUNT products, I say, do NOT buy direct. From my experience I can tell they charge a lot for shipping and it's slow. I went on amazon and got a gps holder, a iphone holder from cheaper than listed on RAM Mount website and got free shipping. )
BTW I love the build of the RAM Mount. Will post pics as soon as free time and weather permits.
