This isn't on an FZ6R, but I thought I'd post it up. I've mentioned Palomar Mountain Rd. on here a few times and how it's kind of the Mecca for sport bike guys in the SoCal area. They call it Palomar Raceway. So I thought I'd post up a video that was taken a while back so you guys can see just what the fuss is all about. A couple of things to remember, the guy taking the video isn't exactly the fastest guy on the mountain. Also it's hard to tell just how tight some of these turns are with a narrow field of view. But the little map at the beginning should give you the idea. And you can't really get a grasp with the video of the elevation change. This is going up the hill. From top to bottom there's about a 2600 foot change in elevation over about 7 miles. That's steep for this many turns. There are turns when you're going down the hill that coming out you realize the road you started the turn on is pretty much directly above your head.
Guys run lap after lap up and down this hill every weekend. I've seen up to 50 bikes on the hill. That's why there are photographers who camp out in the corners to take pics of guys and sell them online.
Enjoy!
