Lol, I can't wait to hear it.
well i went riding last night around reston-chantilly-manassas area last night. it was good...little traffic for some reason yesterday. im a really spur of the moment type of rider. if anyone wants me to txt them the next time i go riding send me a pvt message. its hard for me to ride during the daytime hours so it might be more like a 3pm start type ride. thanks
Richmond to Harpers Ferry is is just over 3 hours. Could be longer in traffic.
Since a few of you will be riding out several hours, we'll keep the ride short. Rt. 9 is a fun road (if you don't get stuck behind cars), it is also a short route.
Here's a suggested route:

Sound good? Or would you prefer a longer ride? Keep in mind, we'll also want to find a nice local restaurant for lunch!

Is it possible that I join the meet up in Chambersburg as well? I am really interested in going on this ride.
For those of you coming from PA, I'd recommend you all meet somewhere first and plan it out. I do this with my buddies from Alexandria all the time, they meet up close by home and ride out to meet me when we are doing a Western route ride. Just find a place locally and plan it so you arrive at the spot for an 11am kickstand up ride...
PM me and Diluted with your cell, so if you're running late or can't make it, you can text us and let us know. We have a couple weeks to get this all figured out. When you PM me your cell, I'll add it to my list and txt you so you have my number.
Funk, where do you live? I am meeting FZ6RJim and his Uncle in Gettsyburg. But if you wanted to meet up with me in C-burg before I go, we could ride together to meet FZ6RJim. Pm me and we can work it out.
Looks like a good ride. I will have to be home to get my daughter in the evening so that would work perfectly for me. I wouldn't want to have to break off early. I am looking forward to the ride.
This was my last ride, Saturday over near Quantico, little ice cream shop called JoJo's. I think this was one of the largest I've been on.
You'd be surprised, the more people you have, the more of a chore it is. We had two scoopers, and two blockers (I had the privilege of blocking...). The line just gets so long on the single files, and the spacing so far out, it's almost like riding solo.... but once you're back to staggered, it's amazing to see!

I am very much looking forward to this ride. I am really excited to see that many 6R's sitting together. Nice to put faces with names as well!!
slight route change
Well, I veered up part of the route tonight that I've never been on, up Loyalty rd. It's a fun road, narrow back country road, one or two small spots of gravel, but not bad, couple of off camber turns, oh and I saw a deer running along the road... he was lost, like running up the road, then finally turned off.
I had to turn around once I hit the original turn-off onto featherbed ln, it's a gravel road
now, I don't have problems riding gravel roads, but I'm sure you guys don't want to ride on them, so I plotted a new route (same link) that looks like it will work, another minute or two longer is all. I will try it again one night to see if it's a viable route. I didn't want to continue up Loyalty, because I wasn't sure if/where it would take me, but after looking at the maps, it looks like it will be fine.
