Please, slow down to "ability to do emergency stop speed" if there's any chance of this happening. Parked cars, driveways, right turners (left turners in USA), kids playing, dogs etc. You don't want to be killed by some inattentive and aggressive driving ***** (including guy *****es) in a hatchback.
wow the ending was horrifying! I dont speed ..Been in his spot twice not do to speeding thank god I had a dual sport MC. I actually go 2-3 mph under now.
R.I.P rider. So sad. Keep a sharp heads-up at those intersections riders. I have been riding 45 plus years on the street and I treat every intersection as a potential threat. Ride safe!
That pained me to see. Just that quick and an obviously experienced and skilled Rider's life is gone.
That is a VERY somber reminder of how quickly things can go bad, regardless of how good we think we are. It only takes one car or deer or gravel patch or whatever.
The danger is that it comes from nowhere. Not a thing we can do but not be in that situation.
My condolences to the family and my thanks to them for their willingness to share that story, to either teach or remind us of how quickly really bad things happen.
