Saw the 2013 FZ6R

Yeah, I saw it at a dealership today too. Two things struck me that I really don't like about the 2013 model. First, I can't stand the white fender on the blue model. Second, the new style of the rear passenger grab rail really makes the tail light look huge and like it sticks out. I do however, like the graphics on the blue model.
Hate the grab bar, but the white fender ties in the white of the team blue scheme. Don't love it, but don't hate it.

true, but it seems that because they made the fender white they changed the front forks back to silver to better match that fender. no offense to anyone who has a 6r with silver forks, but i think they stick out like a sore thumb and really take away from the overall look of the bike. even with that fender being white they still stick out.
Funny to see which direction threads sometimes go. I like the silver forks on this color combo & I really thought the color scheme as a whole was great. Looks real crisp in person. The new grab bar eh, not so much however I can see how it would be a little more passenger user friendly compared to the older style. After several years they probably figured they at least needed to change something.
The group I was with traveled over to the dealership because one of the riders who doesn't own her own bike yet wanted to check some out. She has been the passenger/wife of a rider that I know. She liked the bike I had last year so I was helpful in the conversation. I made a good case for the FZ6R so who knows, we will see what she decides. She is a few weeks away from purchase & I made a strong case for the FZ6R.

One word comes to mind...yuck!
Love my 2011 Raven.In my opinion Yamaha 2011 paint schems were the best of all time the 6R and R6 ex specially!!! The red and raven

It is nice they brought back the blue color for 2013, but I sure like my 2009 blue best!

I originally wanted my r6 to be black because I had my black fz and that's what I liked but ended up getting the 2012 yamaha blue r6. The whole things pretty much all blue except for the white stripe. The new 2013 blue r6 has the front white fender but looks good with the white bottom fairings. That white fender alone looks kind of strange on the fz.

The white fender with a white retrofit would look great.
Or even just with the proper blue sticker to break up the white a little.I said the same thing as Anthony in Jan when I saw one.They look alot better and different in person.You have alot of different paths available when it comes to modifying the appearance compared to the rest of the color schemes.
When you see it next to a 2013 R1 it makes sense...

Not bad I guess. Kinda wish they would do something about the actual engine however instead of just doing graphic updates every year.
