Removing Stickers, Fading

If you have removed the stickers from your FZ6R I am wondering, have you noticed any fading between the part of the uncovered paint and the covered paint? Once removed is it noticeable where the stickers were?

Give it a good wash and wax and you cannot tell. It may depend how long they have been on there as well though. If the bike is over 2 years old and been in the sun a lot, you may notice it.

It'll all be fine, just DON'T rip the stickers off and do nothing else. After removing the adhesive take a buffer and buff the area until it shines, then wax it, and the spot where the sticker was is gone forever!

I had mine in the hot sun about 6 months and took them off and didn't notice anything. I would imagine if you do it soon it won't matter. Always give it a good waxing.

the tank stickers are the worst. take a plastic scraper, goo gone and a hair dryer and spend a half hour on each one. what a pain in the a$$.

Seriously!? That sounds like a bad idea. That'd ruin the clear coat on the tank. I'm just going to cover them with Tech Spec.:thumbup:

Stickers gone, I had a friend do it but it was super easy and only took like 20 minutes. The warning sticker on the tank took the longest, and it was the only one to leave any residue. That was easily removed with a dab of thinner. Now I just have to cover up the tank graphics stoked!

If yammi didn't clear coat over those tank decals, I would own a white fz6r. But my yellow is still great eye candy.

It's annoying I agree. But with a little Tech Spec or something similar I'm going to cover it up and should look awesome. Here is a picture of someone who had done pretty much exactly what I want to do with mine.

Do you know where he got those?

I checked their website and couldn't find any set that covered the side of the tank that well.
