no good turn signals

two weeks ago my buddy came up on his bike... in the rain :facepalm:

long story short he had to leave his bike here and came back to get it last friday. my friend, his uncle and his dad rode up here, and invited me to ride with them so i could show them the back roads i take to get to there house.

the roads we take start in nokesville va and end in locust grove right off route 3. my buddy tends to ride pretty close to me ( on his cb 250) and his dad ( cb 750) kinda hangs back. we started around 8:20pm ( right before dark) and arrived around 9:00pm ( dark).

after we arrived my friends dad asked me a few questions, then mentioned he couldn't see my turn signals at all. he said that he thinks they are to close together and to small.

ill admit they are small, and maybe they arent that bright...i have some cheap ebay signals so whats to be expected and i have the integrated tail hooked up

my question is what are the brightest turn signals? does anyone else have problems with aftermarket signals being hard to see like the flush mounts? any recommendations?

I have similar rear signals which came with my comp werkes fe, but they are pretty bright. When I turn my signal on at night and look in my mirrors I can see everything behind me lighting up. Maybe post up a video clip to get a better idea.

their have been almost daily posts about turn signals and day lights. I would recomend upgrading those and or adding more LED's added safety

Im about to install the HTS (same people who make protons) X-Arc LED Turns onto my FE. Il tell you how bright they are in person.

Heres the website in case you wanna look at them. Got a set off amazon for 70 bucks. They can also come 2 stage so they shine red when you brake, and blink amber to turn.

You coculd try something like these...

and wire them into turn signals instead of brake lights.

So, I installed the X-Arc LED turn signals, and man are they bright. It was daylight and when I looked directly into the flash I had a sunspot form on my eye. Almost blinding per blink. If these dont solve your brightness issue, I dont know what will. The only downside for you would be the size. They are tiny. But I wanted them small, so I love them. Match decently well too.

If you want to end up getting rid of those then just send them to me and i'll take them apart and see what I can do with them to add in some bright LEDs.

They look like decent housings.
