Need BRP planning help

We're planning to take a ride on BRP and maybe Dragon if time permits. Now, couple of sugestions from riders who live in the area would be helpfull for our planning and working out the details:
Which months are better in terms of the weather and crowds from Apr to Aug?
How long it takes to ride from the northen start of BRP to say Knoxville TN (I81), if to camp overnight and without russing it too much?
I can have 4 days total and it's hard to plan on a tight schedule. I don't know how sagnificant is to ride the Dragon or maybe have other side roads instead which are as good, but will help on saving time...

guys at fz1 site are planning a trip... you might be able to set it up to ride part way together, time/money permit, I'm trying to tag along part of the trip down, but prob. not all the way to the tail:

Thanks. I'll check their route and maybe the timing will work too. We did Skyline few times, so will start right from BRP.

May might not work for me in May since I might have to go to Italy again this year... (no complain!)

But later on I might be in! Camping trip sort off. I need to look into it and start planning my summer 1 week long trip. I went to Laconia, NH last year and had a blast. I'll skip a year and bring my wife with me next time. But the BRP is high on the list... 7-9 days.

Edit: Got that on Yahoo news... Price went up a bit. Like $4.00 for camping or something like that.
